Firefox Ending support for Windows XP and Vista
Although the Windows operating system already has more modern versions, there are still private users and companies that still make use of Windows XP and Windows Vista, especially the first.
To all of them the Mozilla Foundation is now directed to indicate that the support of Firefox for these versions of Windows is about to end, so that arrived next March will be automatically taken to the extended support extension where since that date Until next September they will receive security updates although they will not receive new features.
All of them are encouraged to upgrade to a version of Windows that is supported by their developer company, Microsoft, either Windows 7, 8 or Windows 10. For those who prefer to change their web browser the Mozilla Foundation Urges you to think about it better as it gives examples of Chrome and Internet Explorer as browsers that have stopped offering support for Windows XP and Windows Vista users.
The Mozilla Foundation will determine the final date of support for the versions of Windows XP and Windows Vista in the middle of next year taking into account the number of users who still use those versions of Windows.
All the information on this is available through the support page, updated last week, so that those who still have such versions of Windows are in a hurry to migrate, and if they are advanced users, they are also invited to move to A Linux-based operating system.
