If we want to record a video in 3D we will need more than one lens, since it is necessary that each one capture from a slightly different angle to generate the desired three-dimensional effect.
If we take that into account, it seems impossible that there is a mobile app that allows the recording of 3D videos, but Comrade does, although for this it is necessary to have two or more mobiles to obtain the result.
Available in camarada.co, at the moment only for android (already working on the iPhone version), allows to synchronise two mobiles so we can put them together when recording a scene. If the target is near the mobile (a video of something in the foreground, for example), we will put the cameras of the mobiles very close to obtain the three-dimensional effect, cameras that will be able to move away as we focus more distant objects.
Comrade now offers the option to sync only two phones, but are already working on the option to include more devices to make it possible to even record 3D videos in 360 degrees. Here you can see it in video:
The google cardboard camera allows you to capture panoramic scenes to enjoy later with your glasses, but Camarada captures movement, captures video, and that is something that the alternatives do not perform. In fact comrade is also able to capture still images, not just video.
Once captured the video with the cameras of the two mobiles, we will be able to export it to visualise it with any glasses of Virtual Reality available, including the cheap cardboard of Google.
