It has been said for days that Samsung was preparing a new compensation program for users of the explosive Galaxy Note 7. It was also said that such a plan could offer significant discounts for those who bought a Galaxy S8 or a Note 8 the next year.

But although these sayings, rumors and information appeared even on the cover of the most important technological sites, there was no official confirmation on the matter. At least until now, when the company confirms its update program for users of Note 7, and the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 8.

At the moment, the company announced in an official statement that customers in South Korea who have had a Galaxy Note 7 can get a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge. But they can also wait and access a new Galaxy S8 or a Note 8 during the next year.

So the things and almost subtly, the technology giant officially confirms that it works on its next launch and that will be, nothing more and nothing less, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8. In this way, the company also confirms that the family Note is still standing, however much it may weigh on many who augured their end, after the terrible experience of the Note.

However, despite the announcement, many say that it is still a year before the supposed arrival of a Galaxy Note 8 and that everything can change in that period of time. What is certain is that the project has not been canceled despite the enormous damage caused by Note 7 and its explosions.

Returning to the compensation program, Samsung said customers will be able to use a 50% discount to repair their screens up to twice. The new program will be open until 30 November. It is expected that in the short term will be known how to make use of it through the various operators.

Let's remember that the Galaxy S debut every year the technology of new generation. Many Note 7 users will happily go to S8. Those who prefer the S-Pen experience will be able to stay in the spare S7 and aspire to a Note 8 if the time comes.
